More than 150 guests recently attended an open house at North Las Vegas Airport (VGT), where a total of 30 aircraft were on display.

Aircraft owners allowed children to sit in the planes, leading many to agree the event was exciting and inspiring for future generations of aviators.

Most popular among attendees were two Pilatus jets and a Bell 212 “Huey” helicopter.

Numerous car clubs exhibited classic cars, including a 1976 Corvette, a 1964 Thunderbird, a 1938 Ford 81A Coupe and a 1923 Ford Roadster.

Local police and fire departments were represented, along with the Civil Air Patrol, National Park Services, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Angel Flight West, Las Vegas 99s and others.

Food was provided by the airport’s Sunshine & Tailwinds Café, along with Braise and Grill, Pancho’s Kitchen and Neon Ice Cream Truck.
