Summer 2024 has the potential to be the busiest summer travel season across the nation. With passenger volumes on the rise amid increasing demand, we’re bracing for a busy summer right here at LAS. While the airport is prepared for the seasonal influx of travelers, there are some things to keep in mind if your travel plans include flying:
-
- Parking will be at a premium, and many options will be at capacity. Consider all transportation options for getting to and from the airport. Click here to learn more about the different airport parking options.
- Plan to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight’s departure time, and allow even more time if parking at the airport or needing to return a rental car.
- Higher volumes of travelers may result in longer waits for food and beverage options. For concession availability, hours and locations, click here.
- If someone in your traveling party requires special accommodations, such as wheelchair service, make those arrangements through your airline and prior to arriving at the airport.
- Summer weather conditions elsewhere can cause flight cancellations and delays, even if it’s warm and sunny in Las Vegas. Prepare for potential delays by having essentials on hand such as snacks, childcare items, medication and chargers.
