LAS was bustling with activity as players, coaches, fans and equipment made their way to Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII. Airport staff spent more than a year planning for the inaugural event, and when it was time, they executed a winning game plan.
In the days leading up to the game, fans arrived to see photo ops, giveaways, Super Bowl merchandise and postgame travel tips throughout the terminals.
Federal partners such as the TSA, Federal Aviation Administration and Customs and Border Protection stepped up their efforts to ensure the airport was safe and secure, and that travelers enjoyed a seamless experience.
The airport also worked closely with the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee on the arrival of the AFC and NFC champions, as well as their guests. Eight additional charter flights carried family and friends to and from LAS. A total of 64 buses were staged planeside and escorted off the airfield to take passengers to their accommodations.
Super Bowl weekend also ended at LAS, with TSA screening 103,978 passengers on Monday after the game. That total broke the previous record of 103,409 passengers, set on Oct. 29, 2023.
