Thanksgiving is a great time for visiting loved ones. If you plan to travel, know that LAS will be a bustling hub of activity. Use our top travel tips to help you breeze through the airport.
Parking
Parking will be in high demand. Pay attention to digital roadway signs for garage closures and alternate parking options. Plan ahead with our handy parking forecast below.
We recently launched a reservation parking pilot program. Visit parking.harryreidairport.com to reserve.
Arrive Early
Be sure to arrive at least two hours before scheduled departure. Find your airline’s ticket counter and gate information on the LAS website. Use mobile check-in to save time.
Remote Bag Drop
Avoid potential lines at the airline ticket counter by checking your bags with our Curbside Concierge. The service is available 4 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays at the Airport Rent-A-Car Center and from 4 a.m.-noon Thursdays through Sundays on the Terminal 3 Departures Curb. Free shuttle service is available from the Rent-A-Car Center to both terminals.
Know Before You Go
Not sure what items can go through the security checkpoint? Visit TSA.gov.
Picking Up Passengers?
If you arrive early, wait for them in the Cell Phone Lot off Kitty Hawk Way. It’s open daily from 6 a.m.-1 a.m. Make meeting up easier by looking for numbered columns when picking up friends and family at Passenger Pickup.
Delays and Cancellations
Inclement weather disrupting holiday travel is nothing new. Make sure to be prepared with essentials such as snacks, childcare items, medication, chargers, etc. in case of a delay or cancellation. The airline is the best source of information regarding updates on flight status and accommodations should plans change.
