Support for federal airport workers during shutdown

Oct 28, 2025 | Community

In light of the recent government shutdown, a free food and essentials pantry has been established at LAS to support federal airport workers. This initiative aims to provide much-needed relief during uncertain times for the dedicated employees who keep our airports running smoothly.

A variety of food items, including non-perishable goods, drinks, and snacks, are available in the pantry, along with essential household products, baby care items, and pet food. This is to ensure that airport employees working without pay have access to necessities without added stress.

Federal airport workers can shop the pantry Monday through Friday, from 4 a.m.-7 a.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The pantry is located in the mezzanine rooms in Terminal 1 on Level 2. No prior registration is required, and all items are available free of charge.

This support is made possible through generous donations from the airport community, as well as local businesses. Donations are accepted Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Anyone who wishes to donate to the pantry should call the Airport Control Center at 702-261-7157 to make arrangements.
