The airport’s Community Enrichment Team hit a grand slam at a recent volunteer event with Miracle League of Las Vegas.
Employees and their families attended a Miracle League game where children and adults with cognitive and/or physical challenges had the chance to play baseball in a safe, supportive environment. The volunteers acted as “buddies,” assisting players throughout the game while they batted, ran the bases and played the field.
The Community Enrichment Team takes part in volunteer events throughout the year, and hosts back-to-school and holiday donation drives. In total, the team volunteers more than 150 hours per year.
