LAS celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting a special performance by Rancho High School’s Mariachi Oro de Rancho and Ballet Folklorico Sol de Rancho.
The airport hosts these talented student groups each September, when LAS typically sees a spike in flight activity associated with Mexican Independence Day weekend and the related sports and entertainment offerings on the Strip. Mexico regularly ranks as the second-largest source of international visitors, with strong year-round interest from south of the border.
Three airlines – Aeromexico, VivaAerobus, and Volaris — offer nonstop service from several cities in Mexico. Additionally, Avianca and Copa Airlines provide direct service from El Salvador and Panama.
The performance provided a colorful last look at LAS for departing passengers and showcased the talent and traditions of Las Vegas’ Hispanic community.
