As the holiday season approaches, LAS is preparing to transform into a winter wonderland, bringing the festive spirit to the terminals. Here’s a sampling of the exciting events travelers can expect this year.
Holiday decorations
Airlines, federal partners, and airport businesses will deck the halls throughout the airport for the annual tree decorating contest. Check out the trees when you’re passing through — the contest’s theme is “Holiday: Travel Edition” celebrating the magic of the season through the lens of adventure, exploration, and togetherness. The trees will be on display beginning December 4.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on December 3 at 10 a.m. in Terminal 3 Ticketing. The Doris French Elementary School choir will perform.
Live entertainment
An acoustic string quartet will perform in Terminal 1 on December 19, 22, and 23, from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on Level 2 near the Christmas tree. On those same days, travelers will have an opportunity to get photos with Santa near the Kids Play Area on the D Concourse tram level.
Traveling during the Christmas season can be hectic, but holiday decor and events provide a festive respite for arriving and departing travelers. If you’re passing through, take a moment to enjoy the spirit!
