Ireland’s Aer Lingus recently launched nonstop flights from Dublin to Las Vegas. This is the first regularly scheduled service between the two cities.
Flights operate three times a week, departing Dublin every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, on a widebody Airbus A330-300. Once on board, Aer Lingus passengers enjoy the perks of newly enhanced Wi-Fi and expanded inflight entertainment.
The Aer Lingus flights are precleared, meaning U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers and agriculture specialists have inspected travelers and their goods before their flight. Travelers can then bypass CBP inspections when they arrive in the U.S. and go directly to their destination.
The inaugural flight was celebrated in quintessential Vegas fashion, with showgirls greeting the plane on the ground at LAS and handing out cookies and performing for passengers in Baggage Claim.
Founded in 1936, Aer Lingus operates more than 100 routes from Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Knock, Ireland, to Europe, the UK and North America. With the addition of this new Las Vegas route, the airline now boasts is biggest-ever transatlantic network.
